KUWAIT CITY, May 29: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) are looking for an unidentified thief wearing sports outfit who allegedly entered a sweets shop armed with a gun in Salmiya, and threatened to shoot the employee and escaped with 900 dinars.
According to a security source, when the Ministry of Interior operations room received a report on the incident, police investigators rushed to the shop and got the CCTV camera clip showing the man carrying out the theft. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department then lifted fingerprints from the shop and arrested a number of suspects. Without going into details, the security sources said police investigations are continuing. Police have also asked to check the CCTV footage of cameras installed in surrounding shops to find out how the suspect managed to escape. By Munif Nayef Al-Seyassah Staff
