Robberies at knifepoint in Qasr

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 26: Three unknown individuals waylaid an Asian expatriate in Qasr area, attacked him, threatened him with a knife and robbed him of his mobile phone and KD 44 cash before fl eeing from the location.

According to the police report, the victim informed securitymen that he was walking in Qasr area when a car stopped near him and one of the occupants asked him about a “bakala” in the area. When the victim said he did not know the location of that shop, three men stepped out of the car and attacked him. They took his mobile phone and KD 44 in his possession before jumping back in the car and driving off. A case was filed and investigations have been launched.

Meanwhile, two youths reported at Jahra Police Station that they were robbed at knifepoint by three unknown individuals in Subbiya area. They explained that they went to a pre-agreed location within Subbiya area to buy a motorbike from the suspects. However, the suspects threatened them with a knife and robbed them of KD 550 in their possession. A case was registered for launching investigations to find and arrest the suspects.
