KUWAIT CITY, Feb 20: The series of violations continued in Khaitan, but it took another turn recently – the transformation of some fictitious companies into ‘shelters’ for domestic workers who escaped from their sponsors, reports Al-Qabas daily. However, the most dangerous aspect of such turn of events is the operation of restaurants in apartments and basements without adhering to health, environmental, security and safety regulations.
This is the most important discovery in the recent inspection tour conducted by the tripartite committee in the area, leading to the arrest of dozens of workers in one house as they were found selling food in unlicensed places and violating the health regulations.
