‘Repealing sponsorship system Labour’s target’

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 21: Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor has been studying the possibility of repealing sponsorship system and other laws related to domestic workers, says sector minister Hind Al-Sabeeh.

She revealed this at a recent social gathering organized by the Mexican Embassy in Kuwait and explained “anything is possible as Kuwait is doing her best to maintain her image as the center of humanity”.

She stressed that Kuwait did not earn the title out of nothingness. She pointed out that the country is committed to the welfare of people regardless of their nationalities.

Therefore, she deserves the title. Al-Sabeeh declared that reports issued by some international groups like the International Organization for Migration and International Human Rights Organization attest to the fact that Kuwait is fast improving on her human rights record.
