KUWAIT CITY, Nov 21: Four youths were arrested for driving recklessly, racing, endangering lives and attacking police officers at Sulaibiya. In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, Public Relations and Security Media Department explained that Jahra securitymen received complaints from a number of residents of Sulaibiya area about a group of youths endangering the lives of people by driving recklessly and racing in a manner that constituted nuisance late in the night.

They had even blocked the roads, thereby disrupting free traffic flow. After the officers rushed to the location, the youths confronted them and injured some of the officers. The officers managed to arrest four of the youths while investigations are ongoing to arrest the remaining members of the group. The arrested youths were referred to the concerned authority for legal procedures.

American found dead: An unidentified 47-year old American citizen was found dead inside his home located close to an oil company, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to security sources, detectives from the Oil Establishments Department notified Qashaniya Police Station about finding the corpse of the American engineer. Securitymen rushed to the location and referred the corpse to the Forensics Department for autopsy. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of his death.

Bid to smuggle hashish: An Egyptian passenger was arrested at Kuwait International Airport for attempting to smuggle hashish into the country by hiding it in his clothes, reports Al- Seyassah daily. The customs officers at the airport suspected the passenger upon his arrival in the country. They inspected him to find pieces of hashish in his clothes. He was arrested and referred to the Directorate General for Drugs Control for necessary legal procedures against him.

Bangladeshi robbed of KD 500: Six unknown individuals kidnapped a Bangladeshi expatriate and robbed him of KD 500 in his possession, reports Al-Shahed daily. Reportedly, two taxis had stopped near the Bangladeshi expatriate and six individuals pushed him into one of them. After taking KD 500 in his possession, they dropped him at a location in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.
