Reason for suspension of family visit visas

KUWAIT CITY, Jul 23: The family visit visas were completely stopped by the residence affairs departments, only limited visas were issued by the undersecretary of the residence sector and the general director of residence affairs and his assistant as 20,000 expats violated visit visas. they came on a visit and did not leave or failed to leave after the end of their visit.

The re-opening of the family visit visa is in the hands of the First Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior. Hence it is unknown when the visas will be re-opened. Commercial visit visas have not stopped.

The Residence Affairs department issued a  circular on issuance of new visas for domestic workers who have lost their original visas using the PF7 feature (reissuing) in the visa issuing system without canceling previous visa until it expires in the computer system.
