Ration in July reaches KD 17 mln

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 29: Ministry of Commerce and Industry has provided ration of several commodities worth KD 17 million in the month of July, which is 12 percent less than the previous month, reports Al-Rai daily.

The basic commodities that were distributed through the ration card for the month were subsidized by about KD 7 million, and constitute about 43 percent of the total subsidy.

They include Peshawar rice, sugar, plain milk, vegetable oil, tomato paste, chicken, flour and lentils. It is worth mentioning that the support offered in this aspect is 31 percent lower compared to June, but if infant feed and milk support estimated at 4.5 percent are added to this group, the total subsidies will be 47 percent for the month of July 2018.
