‘Ramadan beggars will be deported with whole family’

KUWAIT CITY, April 27:Sources familiar with the phenomenon of begging during Ramadan said clear and explicit instructions have been issued to the concerned authorities to immediately deport all those who beg for alms without exception, reports Al- Anba daily. “If a woman is caught, she will be deported from the country along with her husband and children ,” said the sources. “As for those who are caught sponsored by companies, the company will have to pay a heavy penalty and the file of the company will be closed.” The sources said the Ministry of Interior has formed several teams to confront the beggars, including plainclothesmen and women police. The ministry has plans to deploy security forces in vital areas which are prone to begging, especially commercial areas and places of worship and major markets.
