Qataris honor HH Amir’s efforts with mural

A mural of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah presented as a gift from the Qatari people is seen at the Al Hamra Tower on Aug 10.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: Representatives of Qatari nationals Thursday morning hung the mural of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the wall of Al-Hamra Tower as a special gift from all Qataris in honor of his concerted efforts to resolve the crisis among the GCC brotherly states.

Convener of the idea Jassem Al- Hamadi affirmed that the thought of making the mural came to mind in view of the fundamental role the Amir plays and the stance adopted by the people of Kuwait over the ongoing crisis. He noted the mural will serve as a letter of gratitude and appreciation from the people of Qatar to their brothers in Kuwait.

He explained the activities of the mural started in the month of Ramadan, and even as HH the Amir was fasting, he took the initiative of mediation to break the political embargo. He said the mural was made in Istanbul, designed in Italy and sent to Doha for the people of Qatar to sign before bringing it down to the people of Kuwait. “Our father Sheikh Sabah deserves honor. May Allah the Almighty bless his efforts toward reconciling the GCC brothers yield success,” Al-Hamadi said.
