PSA holds Chaudhary memorial T20 Cup – Friends Club clinch Winner Trophy

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 5: Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait organizes Muhammad Riaz Chaudhary memorial T20 Cricket Cup 2017 on 27th January, 2017 at PSA Minhaj Cricket ground Khaitan. T20 Cricket Cup match was played between Friends Cricket Club & Kandy Boys Cricket team in connection to pay a Tribute to Late Muhammad Riaz Chaudhary, the Cricket Legend of Kuwait. Kandy Boys team captain Fazil won the toss and elected to bat first and they scored 193 runs in allotted 20 overs, which were achieved comprehensively by Friends Cricket Club players in 20th over. Suhail was declared Man of the Match due to his outstanding all round performance of 74 runs & 1 wicket which led his team in victory by 6 wickets.

At the end, Prize distribution ceremony was held. Vice President of Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait Muhammad Younas Shahid, Pakistan Qirrat & Naat Council Kuwait (PQNCK) Patron-in-Chief, Shamshad Khan Tanoli & Jahanzeb Usman President ANP Kuwait, PSA Founder/Director General Muhammad Irfan Adil, Advisor M. Irfan Shafiq, Executive Member of PQNCK Baber Hussain, Naeem Shah were as among the Guest. Many Dignitaries & Cricket Lover watched the Thrilling Game. Kandy Boys captain Fazil received the Runner up Trophy While Friends Cricket Club Kuwait Clinched the Winner Trophy, received by Captain Muddassar Iqbal. At this stage, PSA Founder/Director General Muhammad Irfan Adil highlighted the remarkable services of Late Muhammad Riaz Chaudhary for Cricket development in Kuwait. He said today event is dedicated to his efforts, services and great contribution to the cricket in Kuwait.

Muhammad Younas Shahid, Vice President PSA said that Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait (PSA) engaging the Youth & community in positive and healthy sports activities. It is an avenue for camaraderie and to develop a sense of belonging among individuals in the shared pursuit of sport & to provide an outlet for advanced participation and competition in a particular sport. PSA is a non-political, non partisan and non-governmental organization, founded by Muhammad Irfan Adil on 14th August, 2013. Headed by Maqbool Ahmed & powered by Sports lovers. PSA is organizing sports events & festivals, among community with collaboration of local sports authorities and will work together with local organizations and charities to enhance the standing and awareness of the benefits of sport & exercise. We will keep organizing such sports and healthy activities among youth and community. At the end he, thanked all the guests for witnessing the thrilling game of cricket. Certificates of participation were presented to all players and match officials by distinguished guests and special prayer was offered for Late Muhammad Riaz Chaudhary, the Cricket Legend of Kuwait.
