KUWAIT CITY, Aug 7: In a pre-emptive move, State Security officers conducted several raids in Jabriya and Um Al-Haiman, during which they arrested many people found to be cooperating with terrorist organizations, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting knowledgeable security sources. Sources disclosed the State Security managed to penetrate several terrorist organizations in Syria and Iraq, thereby, getting the names of some of those cooperating with the so-called Islamic State in Kuwait.

Sources stressed these security measures are part of efforts to thwart any attempt to destabilize the country, indicating the follow-up operations have proven the security system’s ability to foil plots to attack Kuwait.

Kuwaiti security authorities had earlier deported Filipinos (male and female) found to be in touch, through smart phone applications, with DAESH outside the country and expressed their sympathy with the terrorist organization, reports Al-Rai daily quoting a security source.

The source added none of the arrested Filipinos appeared willing to carry out a suicide attack, yet they were deported. The source explained this case is different from that of the Filipina who was arrested a few days ago as she was ready to receive orders to carry out terrorist operations.

Meanwhile, explosive experts rushed to Mariam Al-Saleh Mosque in Bayan after the Operations Unit in the Interior Ministry received calls that a refrigerated trailer truck was left there with the engine on, reports Al-Anba daily.

They did not find any explosive material while the Kuwaiti owner of the truck, who is residing in the area, said he left the engine on to preserve the shipment of mango in the truck. The man signed a pledge not to leave the truck near a mosque or any other place that is not suitable.
