Poultry shops raided

KUWAIT CITY, July 27: A specialized inspection committee from the Food and Nutrition Authority recently paid surprise visits to poultry shops to verify slaughter procedures and to ensure the necessary health requirements are in place, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Sources said that the inspection came after the spread of video of one of the expatriates, saying he works in a company for live chickens, and he informed his direct manager of the death of chickens because of the heat, he demanded him to sell the dead chicken to citizens and residents.
The video received a great deal of interaction from the users of the sites of communication and demanded decisive actions and accountability of any involved in food corruption and the safety of citizens and residents.
