KUWAIT, May 11 (KUNA) -- National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim declared on Monday the government desire to delay Wednesday's session until after Eid Al-Fitr.

Al-Ghanim, on his Twitter official account, said he would reveal certain procedural details regarding the issue in a statement on Tuesday.
He explained that he had received a telephone call from His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah informing him of the government desire to postpone the session until after the Eid.

"This is in line with a memo by the health authorities concerning some health and preventive considerations," he said.
The parliament speaker on Sunday declared a plan to hold the session on Wednesday to examine state financial affairs and the coronavirus crisis.
