Police probe as Filipina maid commits suicide

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 23: A Filipina housemaid committed suicide by consuming large number of medicinal pills inside her sponsor’s house in Firdous area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the incident, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and examined the woman to discover she was dead. Her corpse was referred to the Forensics Department and investigations have been launched to determine the reason why she committed suicide.

Meanwhile, an Asian expatriate in his 30s died when he was hit by a car while crossing a road in Shuwaikh Industrial Area. The driver revealed to securitymen that he was unable to avoid the man who was crossing the road and ended up hitting him. The victim died on the spot and his corpse was referred to the Forensics Department. The driver has been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Kuwaiti drowns: A 43-year old Kuwaiti citizen drowned in the sea in Bneider area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information that a Kuwaiti drowned in the sea in Bneider area, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and referred him to Adan Hospital but he was declared dead on arrival. His corpse was referred to the Forensics Department.

Meanwhile, a citizen had a miraculous escape from death after his car went up in flames while he was driving in Rawdah, reports Annahar daily. The citizen reportedly pulled over when he saw smoke coming from the engine and got out of the car. The fire was then put out by firemen. The car was totally destroyed.
