Police nab Filipina in drug trafficking; Duo kidnaps, robs Filipino

KUWAIT CITY, March 15: Personnel from the General Department for Drugs Control have arrested a Filipina for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily said acting on a tip-off, police put the suspect under surveillance and caught her red-handed while selling 10 grams of meth to an undercover police agent in Mahboula. Police, then armed with a search and arrest warrant, raided her home and confiscated 70 grams of the drug. During interrogation, she said, she was working for an unidentified inmate of the Central Prison.

Meanwhile, police are looking for two unidentified persons for assaulting a Filipino and stealing his cell phones, visa card and KD 150 cash, reports Al-Anba daily. In his complaint to the Abu Halifa Police Station the Filipino said the suspects attacked him in Mangaf near the Sultan Center.

The suspects reportedly bundled him into their car, drove him to a deserted spot, robbed him, and kicked him out of the car and escaped. And, police are looking for an unidentified person, suspected to be a Kuwait, for stealing equipment and utensils of a catering company from a stable in Jahra, reports Al- Anba daily.

According the company representative, the stolen goods are worth KD 60,000. He has pointed a finger of accusation at a Kuwaiti. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
