Police launch hunt for trigger-happy gunman

KUWAIT CITY, June 29: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) are looking for an unidentified person who is said to have shot in the air and escaped.

This happened when a Kuwaiti saw the suspect seated in his car in front of his house in Firdous and requested him to please move away. The motorist obeyed and drove off but he allegedly returned after a few minutes, shot in the air and escaped.

The Kuwaiti then called the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior, went to the area police station and provided the car plate number of the suspect. Meanwhile, a case of possessing a firearm and threatening the life of people in the area has been filed against the suspect.
