KUWAIT CITY, Jan 4: The Ambassador of Peace and Counter-Terrorism Organization of the African Arab Unity Envoy Dr. Mohammad Jassim Al-Medairis said he is shocked to hear that a proposal has been submitted to deport one million expatriates from Kuwait, reports Arab Times daily.

He pointed out the deportation if carried out will be a disgrace to Kuwait and will negatively affect its reputation at the world level and will have serious implications He said: “We are against indiscriminate deportation even if the country wants to address the problem of demographics as proposed by MPs to bring the number of citizens in par with the expatriates.” He added, Kuwait must look for an alternative to resolve the problem because Kuwait still needs expatriate workers in several areas.
