Schoolgirl denies knowledge of weapon

KUWAIT CITY, April 5: Can we talk about violence in our schools and how can we deal with such strange and dangerous incidents? This was the talk when another strange incident happened at one of the elementary schools, reports Al-Anba daily. According to the daily a pistol was found in the schoolbag of a female student at an elementary school.

This happened when one 11-yearold female student informed the manager that she saw a pistol in the schoolbag of her classmate and the manager informed the police. The manager went on to say after the bag was searched, the pistol No 25241 was found inside.

However, the student denied knowledge of the pistol in her bag. The schoolgirl was subsequently subjected to administrative investigations by the school to determine why she was carrying the weapon.

The school administration sought the help of the Interior Ministry to conduct an investigation and summoned the guardian of the schoolgirl. In the meantime, a case of possessing unlicensed weapon has been registered against the girl. Meanwhile, police patrols, firefighters and explosives experts rushed to Surrah after the Operations Room of the Ministry of the Interior received a report about a suspicious looking black bag which was ‘dumped’ in front of a house, reports Al-Rai daily
