KUALA LAMPUR, March 23 (KUNA) -- The Philippines confirmed eight coronavirus death cases, bringing the death toll to 33, said the health ministry on Monday.
During a press conference, the Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that the total of infections reached 396 after confirming new 16 cases.
Earlier today, the Philippine Parliament held a special session online to discuss the possibility of imposing a widespread emergency plan throughout the country to avoid the chaos from the rapid spread of the virus.
