Partial commercial licenses eyed to ‘employees’ of public sector – Move to find other sources of income

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 27: Ministry of Commerce and Industry is considering the possibility of granting partial commercial licenses to the staff of the public sector, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting informed sources.

They said the ministry is taking such a step to pave the way for employees of ministries and governmental bodies to find other sources of income provided they are not in violation of the relevant terms and conditions of the governmental work. The sources explained that this step will also diversify the economic activity and ultimately reduce dependence on oil revenues
