Pakistani accused of assaulting US wife – Attempting to impose conservative culture

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: A female US citizen has filed a complaint with the Salmiya Police Station accusing her Pakistani husband of assaulting her, reports Al- Rai daily.

She has submitted a medical report from a hospital showing bruises on her face and body. According to the complainant the husband several times attempted to impose his conservative culture on her and on the day of the incident he lost his self control and assaulted her.

When the police summoned the husband for interrogation, the wife refused to forgive him. She insisted the man should be punished. She has also threatened to resort to the judiciary
