PACC refers officials to prosecution; Misappropriation of funds, agricultural plot

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 10, (KUNA): The Public Authority for Combating Corruption (PACC) has referred a number of officials, involved in agricultural contracts, on charges of falsification and public funds’ misappropriation to the Public Prosecution.

The PACC in the suit accuses a number of officials, involved in the case of an agricultural plot for an authority working in agricultural contracts, under umbrella of the Public Authority for Agriculture and Fisheries, of counterfeiting, public funds’ misappropriation and power misuse, according to relevant laws and regulations. The authority indicated that it opted to resort to legal action after initial investigations revealed that the officials were suspected of involvement in these illegal acts, indicating that the case was submitted to the prosecution on Oct 8.
