Over 18,000 expats left Kuwait in 51 days

KUWAIT CITY, March 4: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) revealed that 18,775 residents will exit the country’s labor market within 51 days. According to official statistics issued by PAM regarding the online transactions carried out during the period from January 12 to March 3, the work permits of 11,610 residents were cancelled because they stayed out of the country , 5,864 for final travel and 865 as a result of death, and 436 were transferred to family visa.

The number of renewed work permits for expatriate workers during the same period reached 145,74, and 96 permits to transfer to the government sector were canceled. The statistics revealed that 596 work permits were issued, 60 work permits were transferred from the government sector, 323 transferred from family visa, 93 transferred from entry visas, 77 issued based on permits, and 204 work visas were printed
