Municipality, MoCI and PACI face 2-day interface disruption
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 20: Similar to the failure of the electronic systems in the Ministry of Justice for two days last week, the electronic portal between Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) was also disrupted on those two days, reports Aljarida daily quoting informed sources from Kuwait Municipality. This affected a number of applications for new licenses on the system, as they were prevented from reaching the municipality from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry due to non identification of the civil information numbers of the establishments mentioned in the applications, which are known as “automated numbers”.
The sources affirmed that the defect has been addressed. They revealed that this defect usually happens due to several reasons, including an update on the electronic systems and data backup mechanism, and addition of new services in those systems, which requires the suspension of the system for a few minutes, and may cause data loss.
The sources indicated that Kuwait Municipality has asked those who encountered errors in the transactions to resubmit their applications again through the electronic portal for issuing licenses in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. They stressed that the municipality is in the process of activating new services within the plan of the electronic development stages that it is working on
