‘No tolerance for dirty restaurants’ – Parks tour conducted

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19: Municipality Inspectorate Department in Farwaniya conducted several campaigns targeting shops and restaurants in different commercial complexes, and issued 15 citations on foodstuffs and advertisements.

The director of the inspectorate Nasser Al-Rashidi indicated the municipality will not tolerate any infringement of the municipality laws in relation to hygiene and conditions concerning advertisements. The violations included dealing with foodstuffs under unhealthy conditions and using public space illegally, while three citations were issued against illegal advertisement, in addition to seven unlicensed adverts.

Meanwhile, the services department in the municipality indicated that Jahra Municipality inspected 470 shops and 891 adverts that violated conditions. The inspection campaigns conducted last September resulted in the issuance of 78 citations related to foodstuffs, whereas 120 food samples were taken to the government’s lab for testing. I

n another development, officials of the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) recently collaborated with their colleagues from the environmental police and Environment Public Authority to embark on inspection tour of several public parks in different parts of the country to ensure public hygiene. They recorded several violations during the tour, reports Al-Qabas daily.
