BAGHDAD, Oct 21, (KUNA): Iraq will not receive foreign terrorists detained by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) that did not fight on the country’s soil, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.

Baghdad is concerned with the terrorists of the so-called Islamic State (IS), who have Iraqi citizenships, with their families to try them at Iraqi courts in line with the laws, the ministry’s spokesman Ahmad Al- Sahaf said in a statement.

Terrorists, who carried out operations outside Iraq, will not be tried by the Iraqi courts and their countries should deal with them, he noted. Iraq had previously tried some French terrorists who fought for the IS inside Iraq.
