It is mentioned that, according to the official data of the ministry, the number of ration card beneficiaries exceeds 2.084 million people, while the number of ration cards issued by the ministry to those who are entitled to it is 232,766 cards.

Meanwhile, the daily said while those who fear the corona virus have doubled their precautionary approach, either by isolating them at home or sterilization, doctors stand in the first line of defense to confront the virus at airports as they check the arrivals, inside hospitals, and in quarantine sites where they come in direct contact with the infected person especially the Bedoun doctors whose suffering is doubleedged.

At a time when these (Bedoun) doctors expose themselves and their families to the risk of transmission, they face a real dilemma when don’t receive their salaries and another feather added to their sufferings is related to the non-disbursement of the subsidized foodstuff due to the failure to update their data with the Central System for Remedying the Status of Illegal Residents (CSRSIR).

The ministry circular stipulates that a valid card issued by the Central Agency for the Head of the Family and members of his family should be produced. An appeal has been submitted to the concerned officials to look into this humanitarian problem, by facilitating the disbursement of subsidized supplies for their families, even for a temporary period, especially with the approaching month of Ramadan.
