KUWAIT CITY, Nov 21: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has announced that a convoy carrying fighters from an Arab Gulf state has finally arrived at the seam zone between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the DAESH organization in the countryside of Deir al-Zour, reports Al-Rai daily.

However, Director of the Observatory Rami Abdulrahman has confirmed that there are no Kuwaiti forces in Syria, contradicting earlier reports which said there were still a few Kuwaitis fighting alongside some groups in the country.

In the meantime, a senior source from the Free Syrian Army cast a shadow of doubt on the validity of the information published by the Observatory, stressing that what has been stated in the report is incorrect.

He said ambiguity surrounds the reasons for the visit of the convoy to the region, and it is unclear whether this comes within the framework of the possible preparations for an Arab participation alongside the international coalition forces and its allies in the battle against DAESH in Syria.
