‘No doctor receives money, gifts as bribe’

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 17: Ministry of Health has denied information circulated on social media recently about a doctor in an unnamed hospital who receives money and gifts to complete medical reports, reports Al-Anba daily.

In a statement, the ministry pointed out that the mechanism of obtaining medical reports is legitimized by a patient or his family member submitting a request, while medical reports should be prepared by a medical crew and approved by the head of department or administrator of the hospital.

The ministry asserted that reports submitted to the overseas treatment committees are subject to a specific mechanism through specialized committees in the hospitals and not by any individual, while the supreme medical committee for overseas treatment is the sole decision maker in that concern.
