KUWAIT CITY, April 10: The fish market has been witnessing an unprecedented inactivity for the first time in years with vendors in local and imported fish stalls watching the doors, hoping for customers to enter, reports Al-Anba daily. The fish vendors do not know what to do under such circumstances, especially since the lack of customers have led to enormous losses that prompted some of them to leave the job.

This is also the scene in the markets for vegetables, meat, dates and chicken even if the holy month of Ramadan has started. Ramadan is supposed to be the most awaited season for vendors, but this year some call it the season of ‘sleeping markets’.
