No casualties in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh blaze

KUWAIT CITY, April 3: Fire broke out in a two-storey building located on 1,200 sq/m area in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh serving as storage for various items, bicycles, clothes and paints. Acting on information received by the Operation Room of Fire Service Department, a team of firemen reached the scene within 4 minutes and managed to control the fire from spreading to neighboring structures. No casualties were reported. High ranking officials supervised the operation.

Meanwhile, firemen extinguished fire in four vehicles in the aforementioned area without report of injuries. A case was registered. In other news, fire broke out in a garbage disposal truck in Farwaniya area. No injuries were reported.

According to a press release issued by Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD), when the Control Room of KFSD received information about the fire incident, firefighters from Farwaniya Fire Station led by Major Khaled Kana’an rushed to the location and extinguished the fire before it spread to the nearby trees. They have launched investigations to determine the cause of the fire
