New patrol cars collide; 11 reckless drivers arrested and their vehicles seized

KUWAIT CITY, April 20: Within less than 48 hours of the use of new rescue patrol vehicles, a traffi c accident occurred on King Fahad Road when two new patrol vehicles collided and one of them toppled. The driver of the toppled vehicle sustained injuries and was referred to Adan Hospital for treatment. According to security sources, the two patrol vehicles were affi liated to the South Highways Patrol Division.

When the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the accident, securitymen rushed to the location with paramedics. They rescued the offi cer who was trapped inside the toppled vehicle and referred him to Adan Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Ahmadi securitymen arrested 11 reckless drivers and seized their vehicles during security campaigns that they launched in several areas within Ahmadi Governorate. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen led by Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safa had launched the campaigns based on instructions from Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah.
