KUWAIT CITY, Jan 12: Upon instructions from the Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Passports Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, Major-General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah personnel from the General Department of Residence have concluded that the Egyptian who was wanted by law and had a travel ban slapped on him managed to sneak out of the country through the Kuwait International Airport, reports Al-Qabas daily.

According to the daily the security sources said the man was wanted by law in more than one criminal case. According to security sources police investigations have revealed a network is in operation at the airport and the same network assisted the Egyptian to leave the country without documenting his departure in the computer system.

The members of the network are said to have received substantial sums of money to facilitate his escape. According to Kuwaiti Interpol the accused left for Egypt 8 months ago via the Kuwait International Airport. The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution to investigate the issue.
