This was disclosed to the Al-Qabas by the Ministry of Health. The sources told the daily 29 patients have been ‘abandoned’ by their relatives in the Adan Hospital for long periods of up to six years.

The ministry said they are still being cared for and treated by the doctors and nurses, especially since there are no radical solutions to deal with them.

The sources added in spite of the circular being issued in this regard by the ministry Undersecretary Dr Mustafa Reda on the need to accelerate the pace of completing the procedures to discharge the patients after completing treatment and recovery some embassies have failed to respond to calls in case of expatriate patients and puts obstacles in the path of the ministries to solve the issue.
