KUWAIT CITY, May 16: The Egyptian consul in Kuwait Huwaida Essam said the investigation evidence into the killing of the Egyptian citizen in Khaitan suggest that he was killed with a sharp object, without any resistance, as he lay on the ground, pointing out the ‘weapon’ with which he was killed has yet to be found, reports Al-Anba daily.
During an interview with the Egyptian talk show Ashra’a Masa’a ‘ten pm’ Essam pointed out the family of the deceased has asked the Egyptian authorities to bury him in Kuwait.
She disclosed she saw the body of the victim herself and pointed to the ongoing coordination between the Egyptian Embassy and the Kuwaiti authorities to reveal all the circumstances of the incident and bring the perpetrator to justice.
She assured the wife of the dead man who is the prime accused and until now a fugitive who fled to Egypt has reassured about the health of her infant daughter ‘Nada’ who became one-year -old on May 14.
The ambassador said the baby receives all the care where she lives with her family and considers it one of the family members, saying that this humanitarian responsibility comes before the diplomatic duty.
In response to a question, Essam said that Egyptian laws prevent the extradition of Egyptian citizens and the verdict must be issued in absentia and that the sentence may be irrefutable evidence and clues must be consistent with the Egyptian law.
She noted that she visited the deceased at the morgue and saw the effects of the strike, which led to his death on the spot. It is evident, he “was hit with a sharp object which caused a fracture in the skull and he died of severe bleeding in the brain, on the spot.”
She explained the Forensics in Kuwait has confirmed that the victim did not show any resistance and there were no anesthetic or hypnotic effects.
Of the child she said she will continue to be sponsored by her and pointed out the child has a passport but did not have the residence and that was the reason why the mother could not take her to Egypt.
