Much ado about nothing … all’s well that ends well

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 26: A Kuwaiti, who was accompanied by three compatriots, lodged a complaint at Adan Police Station against four individuals unknown to him as they allegedly beat him after asking them to move the car they were riding as it was blocking his way to his house.

In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media Department at the Interior Ministry explained the incident at the police station due to rumors spread through various social networking sites.

The department disclosed 25 people came to the station and insulted the complainant, resulting in a ruckus which caused damages to the screen while the doorknob of the main door was broken resulting in injury to a Kuwaiti woman.

Officers from Mubarak Al-Kabeer Security Directorate were dispatched to the station to pacify the feuding parties. A case was registered and all those involved in the altercation were referred to the Public Prosecution.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen employed at the Ministry of Education was arrested for impersonating a police officer and carrying a flasher and the decorations of ‘Lieutenant’ rank of Ministry of Interior and other ranks of Ministry of Defense, says Al-Seyassah.

According to a security source, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling Mahboula area when they saw an individual sitting inside a Japan-made vehicle which was parked near a building. Securitymen requested for his civil ID and discovered he is a Kuwaiti citizen
