MP queries about number of cases filed at Nazaha since establishment

Al-Humaidi forwards queries tied to owners of Husseiniyats

KUWAIT CITY, July 23: MP Hesham Al- Saleh has forwarded queries to First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah about the owners of Husseiniyats. He wants to know if the owners of Husseiniyats are required to sign commitments at police stations before organizing ceremonies. If yes, he asked about the legal basis of this decision, content of the commitments, if other institutions are required to sign commitments before holding public meetings or ceremonies, and list of commitments signed by other institutions if any.

MP Bader Al-Humaidi asked Minister of Justice and State Minister for Integrity (Nazaha) Enhancement Jamal Al-Jalawi about the number of cases filed at Kuwait Anti-Corruption Public Authority (Nazaha) since its establishment till date and subject of each case. He also inquired about the budget allotted for salaries, allowances and other expenses of the chairman and members of the Board of Directors since the establishment of Nazaha till date, number of cases referred to the Public Prosecution, number of pending cases, and number of cases that led to the recovery of stolen public funds.

Al-Shaheen asked if the ministries and their subsidiaries issued the executive regulations of Amiri Decree number 81/2022 on allowing public sector workers to convert their unused leave days into cash.

If yes, he requested for copies of the executive regulations, number of workers who applied for leave encashment, and schedule of payment. On the other hand, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim sent cables to Speaker of the House of Representatives of Egypt HanafiAl-Jebali and Senate President Abdulwahab Abdulrazeq on the occasion of the anniversary of the July 23,1952 Revolution.
