KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20: Director General of Kuwait Municipality Ahmad Al-Subai’e revealed that an official circular was sent to one of the branches of the municipality to remove all violations outside mosques, reports Al-Rai daily. He denied rumors about plans to reduce the spaces of the mosques or ban erecting fences around them, affirmed that the municipality is strictly committed to the decisions issued by the Municipal Council. Al-Subai’e stressed the keenness of the municipality in supporting mosques and rejecting their negligence.

In another development, he revealed the cancellation of some camping locations which have been replaced with alternative locations, taking into consideration the demands presented by some governmental authorities that are concerned with the public affairs, such as ensuring distance between the camping locations and the military areas is not less than two kilometers. Al-Subai’e indicated that the conditions related to fees, space and procedures for issuance of camping licenses will remain the same as last year.
