The winning jockey celebrates after receiving the championship trophy.

A horse from Da’iya Stable ridden by Jockey Moseeh won HH the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad’s Cup in the 2,400 meters race for the horses 4 and 5 years old, clocking 2:30.8 minutes. The race, which was part of the 16th horse racing activities, brought together 16 horses from various stables to compete for a cash prize of KD20 thousand.

Representative of HH the Amir, Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Faisal Al-Hamoud Al-Malik Al-Sabah presented the cup to the winner in the event that took place at the racecourse of the Hunting and Equestrian Club. Also in attendance was the Director General of Public Authority for Sports Dr Hamoud Fuleiteh with his deputies.

In the 1,000 meters race of mixed horses, Jockey Ali Al-Farmawi won by clocking 58.8 seconds, whereas the horse “Batel” won Hamad Nayef Al-Dabous Knight Cup in the 1,800 meters race.

The locally bred horse race of 1,200 meters was won by the horse “Hala Shamah” from Dasman Stable, and in the Dean of Bayan Stable Sheikh Fahad Jaber Al-Ahmad Cup for 2,000 meters race of Arab purebred horse, “Dejocket” from Namshan Stable won.
