Kuwait’s Al-Taweel top goal scorer

RIYADH, June 29: Morocco won the Arab Futsal Cup for the second year in a row in a 3-0 defeat of Iraq on Tuesday, becoming one of the competition’s three most decorated sides. The North Africans, with two titles, join Egypt and Libya as the all-time top title holders of the pan- Arab tournament, which was this year held in Saudi Arabia’s eastern city of Dammam.

Abdulrahman Al-Taweel of Kuwait won the top goal scorer award

Kuwait, who prepare to host the AFC Futsal Asian Cup from September 27 to October 8, came third after reaching a semifinal which they narrowly lost 2-1 to Iraq. Abdulrahman Al-Taweel of Kuwait won the top goal scorer award after scoring nine goals in the tournament, while Soufiane El-Mesrar took home the best player award. (KUNA)
