More girls born as 2016 starts – ‘Most kids Kuwaitis’

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 1: Innocent feminine cries announced the entry of a new generation of girls, as Kuwait welcomed 19 babies (11 girls and 7 boys) in various government hospitals in the early hours of 2016.

The majority of the newly-born are of Kuwaiti mothers. Seven Kuwaitis (5 girls and 2 boys), three Indians (2 boys and a girl), two Syrians (a boy and a girl), and an Egyptian (boy) a Saudi Arabian (boy), and a Filipina (girl) were born compared to the previous year, only one Kuwaiti woman gave birth to a set of twins (boy and a girl) in Sabah Hospital.

Jahra Hospital welcomed five babies — among them 4 girls, and five babies were born in Sabah Hospital (3 girls and 2 boys), among them a set of twins. Farwaniya Hospital reported the birth of three babies (2 girls and a boy), whereas Adan Hospital registered six babies (4 boys and 2 girls). The first delivery was in Adan Hospital at exactly 12:01.
