MoI to expand fingerprint database

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: The Ministry of Interior intends to expand the fingerprints database in the Criminal Evidence General Department to have a capacity for 12 million fingerprints, reports Al- Rai daily quoting sources. Speaking to the daily, sources revealed the ministry has requested for approval from the State Audit Bureau to expand the database from 8.5 million fingerprints to 12 million at a cost of KD 480,000
