KUWAIT CITY, Oct 6: The security authorities reportedly arrests about 20 people a day — drug pushers, bootleggers, drug addicts — including Kuwaitis, GCC citizens, Arabs and Asians, and people of other nationalities which put a strain on the Ministry of Interior in terms of accommodating them in the country’s prisons and providing them their needs, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

To solve the problem of foreigners the Ministry of Interior has requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform the embassies of respective countries so that they can be ‘deported’ to their countries even via transit. The daily added, last month alone more than 40 drug-pushers and abusers were arrested by the security authorities and referred to the General Department for Drugs Control (GDDC).
