MoI denies increase in theft cases in residential areas in six governorates

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: General Department for Public Relations and Security Media of Ministry of Interior has denied reports circulating on social media concerning increase in the number of thefts in residential areas, affirming that security authorities are working round the clock with complete alertness and dedication in all six governorates to protect the lives and properties of the people of Kuwait.

In a press release, it stressed that the reports concerning the increase in theft cases in residential areas, especially after a video went viral concerning burglary of a house, are not true, indicating that authorities are taking necessary action to investigate the video clip.

The department urged all users of social media to confirm the veracity of the information circulating on social media and other forms of communication with official sources.
