MOH suspends Profinal drug for further inspection

KUWAIT, Feb 4: Kuwait’s Ministry of Health has suspended the drug, Profinal, produced by UAE-based pharmaceuticals Julphar, pending further inspection, an official said on Thursday.

The move comes in accordance with the UAE Health Ministry’s assessment that the medicine may not meet the required standards on active ingredient quantities, the ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Food and Drug Control Dr Abdullah Al-Bader said.

Suspension of the drug’s registration will continue in Kuwait until the inspection of standards is complete, he added.
The antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic drug has not received approval for use in the country since 2018, he mentioned (KUNA)
