KUWAIT CITY, March 29: The Ministry of Health is currently studying three proposals regarding the health insurance for expatriates as the State Audit Bureau (SAB) cancelled the latest bid due to the ministry’s violation of governmental bidding regulations, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources from the health sector. Sources disclosed the proposals are as follows: float another tender, link with the Interior Ministry to receive fees, or the Health Insurance Hospitals Company will receive fees.

Sources said the contract of the company that currently provides the service will expire on July 27, 2018 and the ministry is keen on finding a solution before this date to avoid the accumulation of transactions and imposing fines on hundreds of expatriates because of the expiry of their residence permits.
