KUWAIT CITY, April 12: The Ministry of Health has signed a contract to purchase and maintain 15,000 X-ray and sterilization equipment, at a cost of 30 million dinars, reports Al-Anba daily. An official document, a copy of which has been obtained by the daily, shows the Central Tenders Committee (CTC) has approved the Ministry of Health’s request for direct contracting with a number of companies to purchase and maintain medical devices, worth 29.97 million dinars during fiscal 2021/2022, which starts on April 1, 2021 and ends on March 31, 2022.

The document shows the devices to be maintained include X-ray and sterilization devices (including spare parts). The number of contracts to be signed by direct order has reached 51 contracts, for the purchase of 14,966 new medical devices. The document indicated that the companies contracted by the Ministry of Health varied between local and foreign.
