MOH considering to reduce quarantine period for passengers

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 17: The Ministry of Health is studying a number of scenarios related to mandatory quarantine for arrivals coming to the country.

The sources in the ministry stated that among the scenarios is a proposal to reduce the mandatory quarantine period to be between 3 and 7 days, instead of 14 days.

This proposal is currently being studied, PCR examination certificate is mandatory for all arrivals coming to the country to prevent the spread of coronavirus from abroad.

 According to the sources, the MOH is monitoring developments of the pandemic situation of the virus globally in regards to the ban list by reducing the list of 34 countries or adding more countries to them with coordination of Directorate General of Civil Aviation reports Al Qabas. 

 Currently the airport is almost paralyzed and suffering from delays in setting up a mechanism for the return of life since the fourth stage, and it’s gradual operation has now become an urgent requirement, similar to what other countries have done. Hence the government sources revealed that the Kuwait International Airport administration has called on the health authorities to reduce the quarantine period and establish a mechanism to deal with passengers coming from abroad.
