MOH collects KD 20.2 million health insurance

KUWAIT CITY, April 29: The Ministry of Health (MoH) has received about KD 20.2 million through the health insurance centers for the issuance of health insurance cards and registration through the automated system, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The sources said this money was received between January to 24 April, 2019, for the stamping of residence permit for the first time and the renewal of residence permits.

The source noted this is besides what was collected electronically through ‘Online’ service. The sources said that the ministry received from the security centers last January KD 9.5 million, in February 4.8 million, 3.6 million in March, and 2.3 million until April 24, 2019.

The source added, the collection is done directly by the ministry officials and deposited in the Ministry of Health account in the Central Bank of Kuwait through the centers established in Jabriya, Farwaniya, Fahaheel, Sabah and Al- Jahra.

The sources pointed out that the contract of the Ministry of Health with the health insurance agency is until July 27, 2019 after the extension of the contract for six months through the regulatory authorities, as of January last 28.
