MoE to pay KD 125,000 as cash ‘advance’ for 658 new teachers

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 4: The Ministry of Education continues to receive new teachers coming from Jordan needed by the ministry to fill the vacant positions for scientific disciplines, reports Al-Qabas daily. The daily quoting education sources said the Palestinian teachers are scheduled to start arriving in the country as soon as all procedures are completed.

Al-Qabas learned that the administrative sector in the Ministry of Education had addressed its financial counterpart regarding the cash advance for new male and female teachers contracted from abroad for the academic year 2022-2023, requesting approval to disburse 200 dinars for each new contracted teacher whose number has reached 658, including 158 from Jordan and 500 from Palestine, and the total amount that will be dispersed as advance salary to 125,000 dinars. Informed sources indicated 10 dinars from the advance money is to be deducted for residence stamps, so that each teacher receives 190 dinars, to be paid when salaries are paid to them, and a second advance of 200 dinars will be given to male teachers for those who leave the residence within two weeks from the date of arrival in the country.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Education announced its need to fill the position of an educational stage observer for the secondary stage. The ministry required the applicant to have an educational university qualification and work experience of not less than 16 years, or to be a teacher with a non-pedagogical qualification and experience in the field of work for a period of not less than 17 years, and to be a teacher with an educational diploma and experience in the field. Work for a period of not less than 18 years, and hold the position of a secondary school principal
